The Redarc Manager 30 is a product that we have upgraded into our new vehicle. Our Previous 76series Wagon Landcruiser had the Redarc BCDC1240D in the back that charged all our batteries and ran all our 12v accessories. We were so stoked with the performance for the charger that we had to go for the same quality into our next 79series Dual Cab Landcruiser build and not settle for anything less! This is where the Manager 30 and the 1000w inverter comes into play, Kylie and Myself (Frankie) are building our new tourer, a 79series Dual Cab Landcruiser. We built a custom jack off canopy for the vehicle, for the sole purpose to set up base camp and leaving the canopy behind while we explore and hit the tracks. The purpose of the Manager 30 is to charge 2 batteries in the canopy and what sets it out from the rest is that it's an all in one system that can charge the batteries via either the Alternator, Solar Power and AC power instead of having multiple units to do what the Manager 30 can! The Manager 30 unit itself is also a very slimline unit and is easy to install.Having the instructions and wiring diagrams made installation heaps easier for me as I wasn't the best at 12volt wiring but! Doing this myself and learning along the way was the best part of the installation. (P.s there is heaps of info on the redarc website as well. - https://www.redarc.com.au/how-to) We plan to eventually do a lap of Australia and to be able to have the ease of staying at powered sites to plug the AC power in, just to top the batteries up for the night with the LCD screen telling us how much charge the batteries are getting. Not only does it tell us how much charge the batteries are getting from one of its input sources, it also tells me how much power is getting used and how long till the batteries are flat! Let's not stop there! We also have run a 1000w inverter in the canopy as well for those longer trips to be able to charge laptops, battery powered tools and camera gear as well while we are out and about doing a bit of filming as well. It’s easy to use and with the plan to head across the Simpson Desert and the around the center of Australia we would have trouble charging batteries for all the gear. After 3months of use of the Manager 30 and the 1000w inverter the only downside I could find with the Manager 30 is the LCD screen not being coloured but that is an easy fix by upgrading to the Redvision which also comes with more features. But this is only a personal thing for myself and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend these products to anyone that is looking to setup a 12 volt system in their vehicle, camper trailer or even caravan.
